  1. Why did you become a photographer?

About 8 years ago I was the author of an antique needlework blog and started taking my own photographs for it. I suddenly discovered that photography was way more fulfilling, creatively speaking. It’s been my passion ever since.

  2. What is your philosophy?

I guess you could say my signature style is also my philosophy…simplicity and minimalism.

  3. What is your mission?

To create affordable art that gives people respite from the craziness in today’s world. I’ve been told my photography has a unique perspective and my images are “simply refreshing”, “subtly sublime” and “inspiring”. Such thoughtful words!

  4. What are your influences?

Shibusa, the Japanese aesthetic of simple, subtle and unobtrusive beauty and to a lesser extent wabi-sabi, the Japanese philosophy which loosely means finding beauty in the imperfect, the impermanent and the incomplete.

  5. Social media?

Facebook to read more about what’s going on with my photography practice and Instagram to see more of my photographs.
